The 1st Bryanston Scout Group is a Scout Group based in the Braamfontein Spruit region of Bryanston, Johannesburg. The group was first established in 1958 and now over 60 years of proud scouting history. We are a member of Scouts South Africa, and fall under the Sandton District, within the Gauteng Region of South Africa.

The group is made up of both girls and boys ie. Meerkats (Ages 5-6), Cubs (7-10), Scouts (11-17), Rovers (18-30), led by a dedicated and established  team of adult leaders (Scouters).

Scouting offers a fun way to learn how to be the best you can be in a healthy environment. It provides a sense of belonging and focuses on the following:

• exposure to new interests;
• life skills e.g. HIV training and first aid;
• outdoor adventure;
• leadership training;

• citizenship (ubuntu) and involvement in the community;
• understanding and caring for the environment.
